Science

We are very proud Scientists at Blenheim. We know that science is all around us and we aim to explore and enquire about our world to increase our understanding. 

We want our learners to be active, engaged, curious and challenged to prepare for a world filled with Science! 

Recently we have been rewriting our Science curriculum to reflect the needs of the children in our school. Similar to other subjects at Blenheim, in Science, we stress the need to understand the vocabulary for each Science unit. This vocabulary is reviewed at the beginning of each lesson and is used to help understand both the disciplinary and substantive knowledge of the Science national curriculum. Working Scientifically skills are modelled to allow children to develop these important skills which will be needed as they progress in their Science learning at secondary school.
